Diocese of Lansing Scholarships

The Diocese of Lansing application for Financial Aid for the 2023-2024 school year will open on December 01, 2022 and close on March 01, 2023. The application fee is $35.00.  

Criteria:  Student must show a financial need of at least $750.00 for elementary or $1,000 for high school.  The student must be Catholic, attend a Diocese of Lansing school, and belong to a parish in the Diocese of Lansing.

The same application will be used by St. Patrick School to determine financial assistance for the 2023-24 school year.  To be considered for a Diocesan scholarship, families must complete the Facts Application online (link below) on or before March 1, 2023.

General Information Regarding FACTS Grant and Aid

 

Families applying for financial aid will need to complete the FACTS Application on this page and submit the necessary supporting documentation to FACTS Grant & Aid Assessment.  There is an application fee of $35 which, if paid via credit card will not incur additional fees.  Once your online application has been completed, the following information will need to be sent to FACTS to complete the application process.

This year, as in years past, the FACTS grant and aid application opens on December 01st and closes March 01st.  To complete the financial assistance application process, once the FACTS online application has been completed, the following information will need to be submitted to FACTS online:

  • Copies of families most recent Federal Tax forms, including all tax schedules and W2’s
  • Copies of supporting documents for Social Security Income, Welfare, Child Support, Food Stamps, Worker’s Compensation, and TANF.
  • If the family owns a business, they will need to provide the Federal Tax forms from 2021-2022 and 2022-2023.
  • If the family is a DNF, please let me know that you want me to assess their application and consider them for a grant.  The sooner I know about these families, the better because oftentimes they need to provide documentation.

All supporting documentation must be uploaded online through the FACTS online form. You will receive a determination letter by May 30th. If you received a grant, your school will be notified and the grant will be sent directly to your school in October of 2023.

    Tuition Offset Program through the RaiseRight

    St. Pat’s offers a tuition offset program called RaiseRight. The program allows you to purchase and use physical and electronic gift cards for everyday expenses like dining out, groceries, shopping, etc. You can also “gift” cards for holidays, birthdays or just because. Each of the hundreds of vendors who participate in the program offer a financial rebate towards your tuition. The rebate is split with 80% going towards your next year’s tuition and 20% going to the school’s operating budget. You can earn rebates all year round and there are increased rebates frequently so check back often! Once you are actively using the program you will receive status updates in January and again in July.
